Earn Professional Development Units (PDUs)

DSAFS encourages constant updates of practical online knowledge and best practices. These are tracked in the form of Professional Development Units (PDUs).
Due to the rapid advancements in data science and analytics, DSAFS Certifications are valid for two years when renewed with Professional Development Units (PDUs). To maintain certification for an additional two years, candidates can choose one of the following methods:
- Extend certification for the second year by participating in recognized organizations, events, training programs, and communities to earn PDUs.
- Alternatively, renew certification by passing the DSAFS or DSAFS Associate exams.
Currently, candidates must accumulate 100 PDUs within the year to qualify for certification extension. PDU activities must be completed within 12 months prior to the certification expiration date to be eligible for renewal. PDUs cannot extend certification status after the expiration date.
To submit PDUs for DSAFS re-certification, simply provide the necessary verification for review through your member dashboard. DSAFS will process renewal requests up to 30 days before the certification expiration.
